Chauncy's new project

Chauncy has been after me to let him get a sport bike, So we could save on gas this summer with him just runing to work and back. I thought it would be a good idea then we went and looked at some of them and the told us that they would finance us but I got thinking well we would have to pay the payment and the gas so it would just be cheaper to pay for gas for his truck even though it just drinks the gas. So I told him if he could find a cheaper one I would think about it. So he was driving around and saw this bike that looked like it had been sitting for a while and so Chauncy decided that he would stop in and ask if they wanted to sell it. They said that they would sell the bike to him. So we got this bike for $250 it didn't run and the guy didn't know what was wrong so Chauncy has taken the bike apart to find out what is wrong. Well he couldn't figure it out so he took it to Drew and the Crew and they said it is totally toasted. Dang it! So if any of you out there know where we could get a sport bike motor let us know. The boys think its fun to be outside with dad and help him with his "motocycle" as Seth would say. ok all they really do is carry off his tools but they think they are helping.

Keeping busy

Of course when the guys are roping the little boys need to keep there self busy.

3rd day of exciting roping.

The 3rd day of roping was Thursday (4-3-08) Today Chauncy had Paco, JJ had Chico and Steven had Saucy and Pancho. The bay is at home healing from Tuesday. Everything went pretty smoothly. Saucy was the only horse that wasn’t being rode and she was tied up in the arena. She doesn’t like that to much so she is constantly pawing at the ground and raring up. So I decided to get the camera out and take a few pictures. So I stood there waiting for her to rare and guess what she did. Cool picture huh? A couple of exciting things today were not the animals but Chauncy, he caught his 1st steer ever YIPPY!!!!! He was so excited. Then he decided he was going to try to heel. They were all ready in the box, Steven nodded his head for Justin to open the shoot. I had the camera on the movie mode and I am so glad I did because it was just too funny. Steven caught and here comes Chauncy to heel. He’s swinging his rope and gets ready to throw and he about falls off his horse one way and tries to catch himself and about falls off the other way. He managed to stay on. Needless to say he didn’t catch the heels. We all had a good laugh.

the 2nd exciting day of Roping!!

The 2nd day of roping was Tuesday (4-1-08) another exciting day. Steven brought his 3 horses again and Chauncy had his horse. We got to the arena and Steven was riding the bay. Saucy was tied up in the arena and Pancho was tied up at the trailer waiting for JJ to arrive to ride him. In the mean time Chauncy and Steven were trying to turn a few steers and I was running the shoot. There was some ruckus at the trailer and Pancho some how got his lead rope hooked on the door of the trailer and he didn’t like that one bit. He was trying to get away but couldn’t. he was pulling and pulling but nothing except just getting him mad. Steven hopped off the bay and was very calm walking up to pancho to get him loose from the door of the trailer. She finally calmed Pancho down and got the lead rope loose. Steven then tied him up in the arena thinking that would help. NOPE it didn’t He got loose from his halter and took off running in the arena. That was a show, he didn’t want to be caught. In the mean time JJ had gotten off of work and showed up. Chauncy and Steven were on their horses trying to catch Pancho. After about 10 minutes they caught him at the bottom of the arena. JJ didn’t want to walk to the top so he decided to jump on Pancho bare back. Guess what Pancho didn’t like that so he bucked him right off. It was funny to watch. No he wasn’t hurt. Pancho has been roped off of so he knew what to do, but he hadn’t been ridden for a while nor roped off of so he was a little stubborn for JJ at 1st. Well its finally time to go the guys had fire practice so they were trying to rope as long as they could and then hurry and put the horses in the trailer and go. Well the horses didn’t want to cooperate. They would get the bay and Saucy in and before they could get Paco and Pancho in Saucy would turn around and start to come out. This happened about 4 or 5 times. So then they decided to put Paco and Pancho in 1st. Well then something went wrong and Saucy and the bay were out and kind of jumped and rared or something and the bay hurt her leg. AWWW stupid horses. They finally got them in and headed off to fire practice.

Exciting 1st day of Roping!!

My family has been building a roping arena. Well they have got enough done that they are able to rope. Oh what fun it is to go and watch them. Ok maybe not just them, but the animals too. We get quite a show. The 1st day was Saturday (3-29-08). Steven had had his 3 horses Saucey, the Bay and Pancho and JJ had Chico all down at the arena and Chauncy was on his way riding Paco. When I 1st got there I was talking to Ciminy while they were down at the bottom prepping the cow to come up the return lane, I looked up and the bay got loose from her halter and took of RUNNING down the arena to where Saucy was. They finally go her caught and took her back and tied up again. Well Saucy didn't like that either, so she broke her bridle and was bucking in the cow’s coral. they got those 2 all figured out and look up and Pancho got loose. He started to head up towards JJ's house. After chasing him for a while they caught him too. The cows were funny to watch too because they didn't like going into the shoot so they gave us a show too.

Playin in the "DURT"!!

Seth is just as content as can be to go outside and play in the dirt. I was sitting at the computer and he was still in his pj's and he comes in and starts to take off his pj's and says "mom I need to change my clothes so I can go outside and play in the "durt"" So I went and got him some clothes and he got dressed and went outside. I Had to follow him out there a litte bit later and take a picture of him it was so cute how he plays with his backhoe.

Want to play like daddy

We would go and watch Chauncy play church basketball and my boys want to be just like dad. They think that they can go out on the court whenever they want to. Well it finally go to half time and I let them go see their dad. well I don't know if it was dad they wanted or if it was to shoot a basketball. you decide.

Oh What Fun!!

Riley came over to play and he and Seth wanted to go outside to play so I let them. Marlo and I were working on Scrapbooking some picture frames for my volleyball girls. I kept looking outside to make sure they weren't doing anything they shouldn't, well I didn't see them so I went looking and this is what I found. They were playing in the seap that we have by our house. They had so much fun!!
