EKG-Heart Shocking

Last night was a long night. Chauncy woke up yesterday morning about 5 am and didn't feel the greatest but didn't think anything of it and went to work. he worked 12 hours then came home and was complaining he couldn't catch his breath and his heart felt funny. we got out the stethoscope and I even could tell that something wasn't right. So I told him to call Brother Burns (in our ward) who is a cardiologist and ask him if he would be willing to listen to you. Chauncy couldn't decide if he wanted to call him or just talk to him at church because it was 9:30 pm, well he decided to call him and he gladly agreed to listen to him. He went over and about 20 min later he came home and said we need to go to the hospital Bro Burns wants me to go get an EKG. So we called D2W (chauncy's unit) and they said they had a bed open and could do the EKG there. we faxed the results to Bro Burns and got on the road to go home. Well we got almost to the I19 which is about 1/2 way home and we get a call from D2W saying Bro Burns called and said we needed to go to the ER because he was in A-Fibrilation which means his heart wasn't beating right. so we got to the ER and they got us right in. they did another EKG and put us in an ER room. they did blood work to see if they could see why his heart was beating like that but everything came back normal. they could have givin him some chemicals to see if that would get it beating right but the Doc didn't like that idea because it doesn't always work so he gave us another option to use the Defibrillator to shock his heart for Cardio Version. Chauncy didn't want to do that because he knew it would hurt like crazy. but they said they put them under for about 10 min and shock him and then would wake up. so we decided to do that and do it right the 1st time because they said if they took baby steps it could go backwards instead of making it beat right. We got to the ER at 10 pm and they shocked him at 4:30 am. and everything went just and it should have. It was amazing I could even tell on the monitors that it was beating much much better. I went home at 5:30 and Slept for 2 hours and then Chauncy called at 7:30 saying he was ready to leave. which was surprising because at 1st they told us they would keep him for 24 hours after they used the defibrillator then they told us they would only keep him for 6 hours after well after all said and done they only kept him for 3 hours . we have to follow up with a cardiologist on Monday or Tuesday. I hope they can figure out why his heart did that. Thanks to Kelli and Andy (who just had a baby a week ago) kept our boys for us. I took Morgan but kept her covered up like crazy. It his hard when you don't have family around to help out. but thanks to good friends it worked out well.

he was saying how his cold sore hurts too.
Its no fun seeing your hubby like this

Hunting/Camping/Halloween

Chauncy got drawn for Mule Deer this year with JJ and Steven, So they talked us wives to go out with them and camp. So we decided we would and so my mom and Dad and Jodi also came. It was fun having everyone there. The guys would get up early early and go out hunting and us girls and dad would just hang out at camp and check on the little boys and Kashlee every once in a while because they were just having so much fun being outside and being able to do what ever they wanted. They played buckin Bulls with the saddles. Went on little hikes and made creative swings with Aunt Jodi. She is the BEST aunt ever. We LOVE YOU!!! The little boys even got to go with the big boys out looking for deer, but from their report they only saw does. Us girls just stayed bundled up and hung out at camp and every once in a while we would go on a ranger ride. Jodi took mom, Aiden, Kashlee, Morgan and I on one of the roughest rides I have ever been on but it was fun to be able to talk and have fun. The weather was cold and windy so we kept Morgan and Cheyanne bundled up so much that they would get mad because they couldn't move. If the wind wouldn't have blown it would have been perfect. it warmed up on Sunday and Monday but the bad thing is the bees came. On sunday my family and Steven's family went on a Ranger ride to look for Chauncys Walkie Talkie that he lost luckily we found it and went we got back to camp at around noon we had to pack some stuff up and leave camp because the bees where so bad. so we headed over to the hay fields over in Bonita and looked for deer. we saw a bunch of does but no bucks. it was fun seeing some deer at least. we left at dark and went back to camp and cleaned up all the sodas and candy that was left out hoping the bees wouldn't come back. we woke up Monday morning to yep you guessed it bees. so Cim and I got snacks and toys and went up the road a little bit to escape the bees. Chauncy and Steven showed up around 1:30 to help us pack up to leave and they saw us away from camp so they asked what happened and we told them camp was full of bees so they left us there with the kids and started to pick up camp. about 3 hours later bees started attaching us again up where we were so I walked down to where the guys were and got the ranger and we went for a ride. we ended up leaving around 4:30-5:00.
Dad, JJ, Marlo, Justin and Kashlee left on Saturday to go back for the trunk or treat and the rest of us were going to just to Halloween out there and do our own trick or treat. Chauncy and Steven took Seth and Riley out with them hunting and didn't get back until dark and we still needed to do dinner so we decided we would just to our trick or treat in the morning. which was a good idea because there was a road around camp that we set up around for the kids to trick or treat around and there is no way they would have done it at dark plus we were able to see their cute costumes. I just made my costumes cuz I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a costume so I dressed Seth as a bar of soap (Seth says he was Mr. Bubbly) and Preston was Jelly Beans. they turned out pretty cute. Riley was Spiderman and Aiden was a frog. and Morgan and Cheyanne were cute little flowers. I think the kids had fun and they definitely got more and better candy then they would have at the trunk or treat. all in all it was a fun weekend.
We alll went home on monday but we decided to go out on Wednesday with Gavin since he come down to see us and we needed some thing to do. so we went out again and got a buck just before dark. Seth was all in to gutting it out, he wanted in on it. It didnt gross me out like I thought it would. we even saved the heart, Kindneys, liver and lungs for Jodi to take back to her anatomy classes. oh what a week.

adventure..

So I am trying to do everything that I can with the ward so I can get to know people. well this morning I was headed to go walking with some ladies. but as I went to get in the car I cant find my keys, so I had to wait for Chauncy to get home from work which made me a little late but not to bad. Well They had already started walking but didn't see me so I was just going to try to catch up. well there was another girl that was late so we just walked together. I had Morgan in the stroller and the boys on their bikes I thought they do really good on their bikes so I wasn't concerned. Well Erica's Stroller had a flat right off the start so her little boy ended up walking. We figured we weren't going to catch up with the other ladies so we decided to cut through which was not a good idea. It was sandy so there was no way Preston could even ride his bike so I ended up pulling it and pushing the stroller while he ran( not an easy task) but I should look on the bright side I al least got a work out. Well it even to to sandy for Seth to ride his bike, so I had to help him every once in a while It was so long (not a short cut) oh yea Morgan started to scream too but I couldn't do much for her cuz I was pulling Prestons bike and pushing the stroller.

It is so hard being new. They all know each other and talk amongst themselves and its hard to break in. any advice of what to do?

The things kids say...

Yesterday Chauncy told me to go take his truck and get some gas to give me a break from the kids. so I took him up on that offer away from the kids even if it was only 15 min or so. Well I got about maybe a mile from our house and the dumb truck ran out of gas. I was in the busy street and not anywhere to pull off. I got off just enough where people could slip by. So I called Chauncy and told him to wake up the boys and come rescue me. when I got in the car Seth asked me whyDaddy had to wake him up and come and get me. I told him i ran out of gas. he was all "You silly goose you should have taken your car and you wouldn't have ran out of gas" We just laughed it was so cute. I love the things kids say. I need to be better at writing them down.

Heres another one:
We where in the store with Jodi and she had Preston in the cart with her, and preston asked where they were going and Jodi said "We're going crazy" Preston said "I don't want to go Crazy we might get lost"

NCLEX

YEA!!! Chauncy passed the NCLEX on the 5 of Aug. I am so proud of him. He was been working at UMC since July 20 and is loving it. He just headed to bed so he can go to work tonight. This will be his 2nd night so we will see how he really likes it.

We moved to Sahuarita, AZ on August 8. It has been quite an adventure trying to find a place. we were originally going to move to Benson and Chauncy would commute about 1 hour and 15 min one way, so he could take his horses, but I wanted to keep looking around and see if I could find something a little bigger. Well Chauncy had a double wide that was bigger so we decided to take. we told the lady that we would bring her so money on Saturday. we headed out on Saturday not in to big of a hurry thinking we had the house because the lady had committed to us. we get about 10 min away and chauncy gets a text saying "sorry house is rented people had money" we were so mad. so we called on the 1st one but it was rented out already as well so we were back at square one. There was nothing more in that area so we started to look in Marana. We looked at a couple and I liked the house but It was way out there and didn't have a great feeling about it. Well I was in my stake temple recommend interview and President Prusley asked me what our plans where and I told him what had happened and we were looking in Marana. he said thats a good place but you ought to look into Sahuarita. he said that about4 or5 times. So I started to look for places in Sahuarita. I found a couple of places that I wanted to go look at one in particular. So mom called the only person she knew in Sahuarita that she went to EAC with back in 1971 and he ended up being the Bishop of the ward that the house was in I wanted to go look at. Well Guess what? I am in that house in that Bishops ward.

We live right down the road from the park so we walk down there everyday. We have gone swimming almost everyday as well.

Our ward is full of Young couples so I am hoping to make some everlasting friends here.

We are really excited about our new adventure here in Sahuarita.

UMC here we come!!!

I just want to let everyone know that Chauncy got a job at UMC in Tucson in the ICU. he will start on the 20th of July. We are so excited. we found a place to rent in Benson. it will be about an hour commute for him but that is what he wanted to do so he could take his horses. This is a great opportunity for him starting in the ICU because his goal is to be a flight nurse and they want you to have at least 2 to 3 years of experance in and ER or ICU before you can apply so starting off in the ICU is AWESOME for us. Chauncy did not pass the NCLEX (State Boards) the first time so keep us in your prayers so he can pass it next time.

Things are going pretty good here Seth is being such a good big brother. he is always concerned when Morgan is crying and he will do all he can to get her to stop. If her bow is not straight he will fix it. Preston is just about potty trained and LOVES playing with Seth. they are getting along so well right now. they play with their trucks all day long. Morgan is just growing like a weed. I can't believe she is 3 months already. She wants to be sitting up looking around seeing whats going on all the time. she is so much fun.

July is going to be a busy on for us. we will go to the mountain for the 4th of July and on the 8th my Brother-in-law somes home from Russia off his mission we are so EXCITED!! we then will go spend the weekend in snowflake with him. he will report on sunday which is Seths 4th birthday. (holly cow I have a 4 year old) then we will come home, move to Benson on the 15, have my anniversary on the 16 then head back up to snowflake on the 17th (Chauncy's birthday) then Chauncy will come back and Start work on the 20th. I could go camping then with the Russells but I haven't decided what I want to do, go camping or be home for Chauncy for his first week at work and get settled. Settling will always be there when I get home but being there for Chauncy for his first week at his new job wont. so I'm not sure what I am going to do. well thats my busy July.

MORGAN is finally here!!!!

Morgan is finally here!! I wasn't due until April 5 but she decided she wanted to come early which was a good thing. Morgan was born March 22, 2009 at 4:30 pm. She weighed 8 lbs 10 oz and was 19 in long. She was so chubby when she was born.

Since this is my journal I am going to tell about my experience. It started on Wednesday 3-18 I was having contractions (I had been walking around Wal-Mart and bashas all day) Chauncy was concerned because he was leaving on Thursday to go to clinicals in Phoenix and wouldn't be back until Saturday night. I went to my Dr's appt on Thursday and told my doctor that Chauncy was going out of town and asked him if he would check me so Chauncy could go at ease knowing that he wouldn't have to leave clinicals early and make it back for the birth. He checked me and I was dilated to a 3. NOT what Chauncy wanted to hear? Chauncy told me to take it easy and drink lots of water so I wouldn't go into labor with him gone. I told him I hadn't contracted all day so not to worry. He left and I just kept him updated. No contractions the rest of Thursday or Friday. Well we had the Roping on Saturday which I usually run but didn't this time because I knew I couldn't sit there for 5 hours straight. I just helped with the money and stuff. But every time I would get up and walk even 2 feet I would have a contraction, but if I just sat there nothing would happen. So I just took it easy. After the roping Mom and I and the boys were stuck at the arena because my car wouldn't start. The boys were cranky because of no naps so I didn't want to walk home so we waited for Steven and Cim to come and help us out. I asked Steven if he had jumper cables and he said no. Well DUMB me remembered I had a jump starter thing in my car. So we just sat at the arena for an hour for no reason. We went to my mom's house and just laid around for a little while. Well at 6 my stomach got hard and wouldn't relax so I wanted to go walking to see if I could get regular contractions. We got our shoes on and the boys on their bikes to go walking. As we got half way between G'ma Angies house and my mom's house Chauncy showed up. We walked to the railroad tracks and back. The whole time we were walking my stomach was hard it wouldn't relax and get hard again it just stayed hard. Well it got hurting to bad so I just wanted to go home and sit down. I went home and sat down. My stomach stayed hard so I had Chauncy call one of his Nursing instructors because she is an OB nurse as well. She said take a warm shower and if they keep coming its real labor. I got in the shower and I had a couple contractions in the warm shower. I went and laid on my bed while Chauncy showered and I only had one contraction. Since I was group B positive we knew I had to have at least 4 hours of Penicillin before I delivered. So being dilated to a 3 I decided that we should go in. We took the boys over to my moms and we went to the hospital at 10 pm. When we got there they monitored me for an hour and checked me. I was now at a 4. At 11 pm they told me to go walk around the hospital for an hour and then come back. So Chauncy and I made lap after lap after lap in the hospital. Since our hospital is so big we had nowhere to walk well at 10 minutes to 12 pm I had had it. I only had flip flops on so my feet and knees were hurting. I wasn't really having contractions so I was preparing myself to go home. when we got back they checked me again and they said I had changed so they admitted me and got me started on the Penicillin I got the pain medicine through my IV and it would knock me out so I could sleep. I got some every 2 hours though the night. At 8 am I finally got the epidural. I wasn't feeling anything at all. but I started to feel funny like I couldn't breathe easily and my blood pressure was really low it got as low as 88/33 so the anesthesiologist came and gave me some stuff to make my blood pressure go up. He said that is normal to have it drop and the hard to breath he said it will get better in a couple hours. I was eating ice chips and my stomach I guess it didn’t like that so I threw up, after that I felt great. I slept a lot during the day. At 10 am Dr. Tran came in and broke my water. They were shocked of how much water I had. The nurse came in to check on me because I was having consistent contractions and I was sound asleep. It was WONDERFUL. The nurse came in and explained to me the feeling that I would have when it was time to push. Well about 4 pm I could start feel the contractions just the pressure of them. Well at 4:10 pm they checked me and said I was at a 10 and complete. So at 4:20 I told them I think I need to push. So I started and Pushed 6 times only 2 contractions, and she was here at 4:30 pm.

Chauncy, Mom and Dad where all there when she was born. About an hour later JJ and Marlo came up to see their new niece. Steven and Cim waited until JJ came home so he could watch the kids. About an hour later Steven and Cim came up to see us. It was about 7:45 pm and we get a call from Grandma Kristi asking what time they quit letting visitors in, because she was about 20 minutes away. We were excited for her to come. It was a surprise. She rode with Aunt Bet and Uncle Shea they also came in to see us. Thanks guys. Grandma Kristi spent the evening with us and didn’t leave until 10 or so. It was nice visiting with her and having her there with us. I sent Chauncy home that night to spend it with the boys so they didn’t feel left out. I didn’t realize how much you (well at least me) need someone there with you. Kristi came up the next morning at 10 in the morning and stayed with me until 12 then went to get the boys from Chauncy so he could go to class. Well Chauncy wanted to bring the boys up to see their new little sister so he ditched his 12 o’clock class. They could only come to the outside window to see her because RSV is still in the hospital. It was hard for them to just have to look and not be able to give her kisses and to hug their mom. Preston preceded to take off the screen he said I want in. so Chauncy started to take off the screen but decided he better not so we didn’t get in trouble. Seth was so cute when he saw her but got really sad really quick because he couldn’t come in. Chauncy said when they got in the car he waved very sadly and said “Bye Bye baby Morgan” in sad voice. In the mean time Aunt Jodi came to be with me. She got here about 11 am. She was so bummed that she couldn’t be there for the birth but I knew she was busy and I am just glad that she made to see us. It was so fun having her there with me, even though it was just a day trip. There is nothing like a sister. LOVE YOU Jodi. Later that day Steven, mom and Dad came to see us again. They all left at 5:30 to go eat with the family for Kashlee’s birthday. It was hard because I was there along again but I told Chauncy I wanted him to stay the night with me the next night so he came up at 6:15 and we ate our stake dinner and were just hanging out together. Kristi stayed with our boys on Monday night as well. Tuesday was a frustrating day. Morgan’s Dr. came in and told us that she could leave at 1 pm so I thought oh good I can get home before it’s too late. Yea Right!! My Dr didn’t come in until 4:30 pm he didn’t realize they were releasing Morgan early or he would have come in earlier. Chauncy left at 12 to get the boys because I wanted to ride home as a family but because the dr. didn’t come until 4:30 he just stayed with his mom and the boys. It got lonesome once again. At about 4:20 Chauncy called and said his dad and brothers were just pulling in so they all came up as I was getting released and kissed on Morgan a little while and off to Tucson for spring break they went. When we got home Marlo, Ciminy and mom where all here waiting for us. We let the boys take turns holding their little sister oh the kisses she got.
The nights have been good she wakes up at 1 and 4 then not again until 8. She is a VERY good baby. I have a wonderful family. Mom spent Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday with me helping me out. Marlo and Ciminy have brought in food. (Which was delicious) and Heidi who is packing to move even found time to bring us food. Thanks guys.
The boys have adjusted really well of having a baby around. They are great kids I love them so much. I don’t know where I would be without them. They are so fun and a joy to be around. I am so thankful that Heavenly Father sent them to me. I have a wonderful husband that supports me in all that I do. He is a great father to our kids and they just want to be with him every minute they can. I love you Chauncy!!!

Sorry it’s so long but it’s my Journal and I didn’t want to forget this wonderful memory.
