Since this is my journal I am going to tell about my experience. It started on Wednesday 3-18 I was having contractions (I had been walking around Wal-Mart and bashas all day) Chauncy was concerned because he was leaving on Thursday to go to clinicals in Phoenix and wouldn't be back until Saturday night. I went to my Dr's appt on Thursday and told my doctor that Chauncy was going out of town and asked him if he would check me so Chauncy could go at ease knowing that he wouldn't have to leave clinicals early and make it back for the birth. He checked me and I was dilated to a 3. NOT what Chauncy wanted to hear? Chauncy told me to take it easy and drink lots of water so I wouldn't go into labor with him gone. I told him I hadn't contracted all day so not to worry. He left and I just kept him updated. No contractions the rest of Thursday or Friday. Well we had the Roping on Saturday which I usually run but didn't this time because I knew I couldn't sit there for 5 hours straight. I just helped with the money and stuff. But every time I would get up and walk even 2 feet I would have a contraction, but if I just sat there nothing would happen. So I just took it easy. After the roping Mom and I and the boys were stuck at the arena because my car wouldn't start. The boys were cranky because of no naps so I didn't want to walk home so we waited for Steven and Cim to come and help us out. I asked Steven if he had jumper cables and he said no. Well DUMB me remembered I had a jump starter thing in my car. So we just sat at the arena for an hour for no reason. We went to my mom's house and just laid around for a little while. Well at 6 my stomach got hard and wouldn't relax so I wanted to go walking to see if I could get regular contractions. We got our shoes on and the boys on their bikes to go walking. As we got half way between G'ma Angies house and my mom's house Chauncy showed up. We walked to the railroad tracks and back. The whole time we were walking my stomach was hard it wouldn't relax and get hard again it just stayed hard. Well it got hurting to bad so I just wanted to go home and sit down. I went home and sat down. My stomach stayed hard so I had Chauncy call one of his Nursing instructors because she is an OB nurse as well. She said take a warm shower and if they keep coming its real labor. I got in the shower and I had a couple contractions in the warm shower. I went and laid on my bed while Chauncy showered and I only had one contraction. Since I was group B positive we knew I had to have at least 4 hours of Penicillin before I delivered. So being dilated to a 3 I decided that we should go in. We took the boys over to my moms and we went to the hospital at 10 pm. When we got there they monitored me for an hour and checked me. I was now at a 4. At 11 pm they told me to go walk around the hospital for an hour and then come back. So Chauncy and I made lap after lap after lap in the hospital. Since our hospital is so big we had nowhere to walk well at 10 minutes to 12 pm I had had it. I only had flip flops on so my feet and knees were hurting. I wasn't really having contractions so I was preparing myself to go home. when we got back they checked me again and they said I had changed so they admitted me and got me started on the Penicillin I got the pain medicine through my IV and it would knock me out so I could sleep. I got some every 2 hours though the night. At 8 am I finally got the epidural. I wasn't feeling anything at all. but I started to feel funny like I couldn't breathe easily and my blood pressure was really low it got as low as 88/33 so the anesthesiologist came and gave me some stuff to make my blood pressure go up. He said that is normal to have it drop and the hard to breath he said it will get better in a couple hours. I was eating ice chips and my stomach I guess it didn’t like that so I threw up, after that I felt great. I slept a lot during the day. At 10 am Dr. Tran came in and broke my water. They were shocked of how much water I had. The nurse came in to check on me because I was having consistent contractions and I was sound asleep. It was WONDERFUL. The nurse came in and explained to me the feeling that I would have when it was time to push. Well about 4 pm I could start feel the contractions just the pressure of them. Well at 4:10 pm they checked me and said I was at a 10 and complete. So at 4:20 I told them I think I need to push. So I started and Pushed 6 times only 2 contractions, and she was here at 4:30 pm.
Chauncy, Mom and Dad where all there when she was born. About an hour later JJ and Marlo came up to see their new niece. Steven and Cim waited until JJ came home so he could watch the kids. About an hour later Steven and Cim came up to see us. It was about 7:45 pm and we get a call from Grandma Kristi asking what time they quit letting visitors in, because she was about 20 minutes away. We were excited for her to come. It was a surprise. She rode with Aunt Bet and Uncle Shea they also came in to see us. Thanks guys. Grandma Kristi spent the evening with us and didn’t leave until 10 or so. It was nice visiting with her and having her there with us. I sent Chauncy home that night to spend it with the boys so they didn’t feel left out. I didn’t realize how much you (well at least me) need someone there with you. Kristi came up the next morning at 10 in the morning and stayed with me until 12 then went to get the boys from Chauncy so he could go to class. Well Chauncy wanted to bring the boys up to see their new little sister so he ditched his 12 o’clock class. They could only come to the outside window to see her because RSV is still in the hospital. It was hard for them to just have to look and not be able to give her kisses and to hug their mom. Preston preceded to take off the screen he said I want in. so Chauncy started to take off the screen but decided he better not so we didn’t get in trouble. Seth was so cute when he saw her but got really sad really quick because he couldn’t come in. Chauncy said when they got in the car he waved very sadly and said “Bye Bye baby Morgan” in sad voice. In the mean time Aunt Jodi came to be with me. She got here about 11 am. She was so bummed that she couldn’t be there for the birth but I knew she was busy and I am just glad that she made to see us. It was so fun having her there with me, even though it was just a day trip. There is nothing like a sister. LOVE YOU Jodi. Later that day Steven, mom and Dad came to see us again. They all left at 5:30 to go eat with the family for Kashlee’s birthday. It was hard because I was there along again but I told Chauncy I wanted him to stay the night with me the next night so he came up at 6:15 and we ate our stake dinner and were just hanging out together. Kristi stayed with our boys on Monday night as well. Tuesday was a frustrating day. Morgan’s Dr. came in and told us that she could leave at 1 pm so I thought oh good I can get home before it’s too late. Yea Right!! My Dr didn’t come in until 4:30 pm he didn’t realize they were releasing Morgan early or he would have come in earlier. Chauncy left at 12 to get the boys because I wanted to ride home as a family but because the dr. didn’t come until 4:30 he just stayed with his mom and the boys. It got lonesome once again. At about 4:20 Chauncy called and said his dad and brothers were just pulling in so they all came up as I was getting released and kissed on Morgan a little while and off to Tucson for spring break they went. When we got home Marlo, Ciminy and mom where all here waiting for us. We let the boys take turns holding their little sister oh the kisses she got.
The nights have been good she wakes up at 1 and 4 then not again until 8. She is a VERY good baby. I have a wonderful family. Mom spent Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday with me helping me out. Marlo and Ciminy have brought in food. (Which was delicious) and Heidi who is packing to move even found time to bring us food. Thanks guys.
The boys have adjusted really well of having a baby around. They are great kids I love them so much. I don’t know where I would be without them. They are so fun and a joy to be around. I am so thankful that Heavenly Father sent them to me. I have a wonderful husband that supports me in all that I do. He is a great father to our kids and they just want to be with him every minute they can. I love you Chauncy!!!
Sorry it’s so long but it’s my Journal and I didn’t want to forget this wonderful memory.
